A fosterling is another term for a foster child. This refers to a minor who has been placed in the temporary care of individuals or a family other than their biological parents, typically under the supervision of a state or government agency. This arrangement is usually made when a child's biological parents are unable to provide adequate care, safety, or stability, often due to neglect, abuse, or other challenging circumstances. The goal of foster care is usually to provide a safe and nurturing environment while efforts are made to reunite the child with their biological family or, if that's not possible, to find a permanent adoptive home.
