A quick definition of hamel:

Term: HAMEL

Definition: Hamel is another word for hamlet, which is a small village. It can be a part of a bigger village or a rural community. A hamlet may have only a few buildings like a store, a church, and some houses. It is like a small town where people live and work together. Hamel can also be called hameleta or hamleta. It is similar to a vill, but smaller.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Hamel is another word for hamlet, which refers to a small village or a part of a larger village.

For example, a hamlet in a rural community may only have a few buildings, such as a store, a church, and a few houses. It is smaller than a town or a city and usually has a close-knit community.

The term hamel is not commonly used, and hamlet is the more widely recognized term.

Example: The hamlet of Millbrook in New York has a population of only 1,452 people and is known for its historic architecture and scenic countryside.

This example illustrates how a hamlet is a small community with a limited number of residents and buildings. It is often located in a rural area and has a distinct character and charm.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
