Simple English definitions for legal terms

in foro externo

Read a random definition: in modum assisae

A quick definition of in foro externo:

Term: IN FORO EXTERNO

Definition: In foro externo means in an external court that deals with legal cases related to or affecting the corporate life of the church. Forum externum is the name given to such a court in ecclesiastical law.

A more thorough explanation:

IN FORO EXTERNO

In foro externo means "in an external forum" in Latin. It is a term used in Ecclesiastical law to refer to a court that is handling a case related to or affecting the corporate life of the church. Forum externum, on the other hand, refers to a court that deals with legal cases pertaining to or affecting the corporate life of the church.

An example of in foro externo would be a court case involving a dispute between two churches over property ownership. Another example would be a case involving the appointment of a bishop or other church official.

For example, if a church is facing a legal issue related to its corporate life, such as a dispute over property ownership, the case would be heard in a forum externum, which is a court that deals with such cases. The court would then make a decision based on the evidence presented and the applicable laws.

Similarly, if there is a dispute over the appointment of a bishop or other church official, the case would be heard in an in foro externo court. The court would then decide whether the appointment was valid or not based on the evidence presented and the applicable laws.

These examples illustrate how in foro externo and forum externum are used in Ecclesiastical law to refer to courts that handle legal cases related to or affecting the corporate life of the church.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
