ingratitude

Read a random definition: equitable conversion

A quick definition of ingratitude:

Term: INGRATITUDE

Definition: Ingratitude means not being thankful for something kind or generous that someone has done for you, especially when they have given you a gift. In some places, like Louisiana, if someone mistreats the person who gave them a gift, like trying to hurt them or not giving them food when they need it, the gift can be taken back because of ingratitude.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Ingratitude is a lack of appreciation for a kind or generous act, especially for a gift received. In civil law, a gift can be taken back if the recipient mistreats the giver, such as attempting to harm the giver or refusing to provide them with necessary food.

Example: If someone gives you a gift, but you don't say thank you or show any appreciation, that is an example of ingratitude. In civil law, if someone gives you a gift and you mistreat them, such as trying to harm them or refusing to give them food when they need it, they can take back the gift on the grounds of ingratitude.

The examples illustrate that ingratitude is a lack of appreciation for a kind or generous act. In the first example, the person receiving the gift does not show any gratitude, while in the second example, the recipient mistreats the giver, which is considered an act of ingratitude in civil law.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
