A quick definition of leproso amovendo:

Term: leproso amovendo

Definition: Leproso amovendo is a term from history that refers to a legal order to remove a person with leprosy from public gatherings, like church or meetings. Leprosy is a disease that can spread easily, so people with leprosy were often isolated to prevent the spread of the disease. This writ was used to enforce that isolation and protect others from getting sick.

A more thorough explanation:

A leproso amovendo was a legal order in history that required a leper to be removed from public gatherings, such as church or meetings.

  • During the Middle Ages, leprosy was a common disease and those who had it were often forced to leave their homes and live in leper colonies. If a leper was found participating in a public gathering, a leproso amovendo could be issued to have them removed.
  • In some parts of the world, leprosy still exists today. If a person with leprosy attends a public event, they may be asked to leave or be removed by authorities using a leproso amovendo.

These examples show how a leproso amovendo was used to remove lepers from public gatherings to prevent the spread of disease. It was a way to protect the health of the community and prevent the spread of leprosy.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
