LGBT

Read a random definition: chamber of accounts

A quick definition of LGBT:

LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender. It's a way to talk about people who love and feel attracted to others in different ways. Gay means a man who likes other men, while lesbian means a woman who likes other women. Bisexual means someone who likes both men and women, and transgender means someone who feels like they are a different gender than the one they were born with. These words help us understand and accept people who are different from us. Some people also use the word queer to describe themselves, which means they are not only attracted to people of the opposite gender.

A more thorough explanation:

LGBT or GLBT is an abbreviation for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. It is a term used to describe people who identify as any of these sexual orientations or gender identities.

Lesbian is a term used to describe women who are romantically or sexually attracted to other women.

Example: Sarah is a lesbian. She is in a relationship with her girlfriend, Emily.

Gay is a term used to describe men who are romantically or sexually attracted to other men.

Example: John is gay. He is in a relationship with his boyfriend, Michael.

Bisexual is a term used to describe people who are romantically or sexually attracted to people of any sex or gender identity.

Example: Alex is bisexual. They are attracted to both men and women.

Transgender is an umbrella term for those whose gender identity or expression is different from their sex assigned at birth.

Example: Jamie is transgender. They were assigned male at birth but identify as female.

LGBTQ is an expanded version of the acronym, with Q standing for queer or questioning. Queer is a term used to describe people who are not exclusively heterosexual. It can be used by anyone within the LGBTQ community.

Example: Max is questioning their sexuality. They are not sure if they are gay or bisexual.

The use of the term LGBT or LGBTQ is a positive symbol of inclusion and acceptance for a diverse community of people with different sexual orientations and gender identities.

"Have you applied for admission to [school] in a prior year" I applied in Oct. of the 23-24 cycle, should I put 23 or 24 as the year I applied?
MildChiller

Bcuz 2023 is when I technically applied but I applied for admissions in 2024
12:14
2024 cuz that's when you would've been admitted
I agree with Howl
12:19
Gecko what's ur dream school
Hard to say. I'm pretty firmly committed to the philly area so probably temple or villanova
Also relatively debt averse so I'd have to get a good scholarship from BC or Fordham to want to go but that's not very likely for me
Any advice? lol

12:25
what’s a good scholarship for you? what would make BC or Fordham worth it?
12:25
Hmmmm let me think
[] baddestbunny
12:25
fordham’s max aid they give is 45k per year
Bunny I can possibly get a 75%+ scholarship from villanova or temple, and I'd be moving back in with my parents if I went there so I'd have near-zero COL. It'd be really hard to beat that
I would prefer BC over Fordham just because I like boston more, but I'm expecting a WL there tbh
I would maybe consider BC with $ but I don't know how to decide if a better biglaw chance is worth the COL + higher tuition

How do I know if my status checkers are properly linked
