lucid moment

A quick definition of lucid moment:

A lucid moment is a brief period of time when someone who is usually unable to make decisions or understand things clearly, suddenly becomes clear-headed and able to make decisions on their own. This can happen to people who are mentally ill or have a disability. During a lucid moment, they may be able to do things like sign a contract or make a will. It's like a short window of time when they are able to think and act like everyone else.

A more thorough explanation:

A lucid moment is a brief period of time when a person who is usually not able to think clearly or make decisions on their own, suddenly becomes clear-headed and capable of making decisions.

For example, if someone who is usually considered insane suddenly becomes sane enough to understand and sign a legal contract, that would be considered a lucid moment. Another example would be if someone who is usually unable to make decisions suddenly becomes capable of understanding the responsibilities of marriage and decides to get married during that brief period of clarity.

These examples illustrate how a lucid moment can be a significant and important time for someone who is usually unable to make decisions on their own. It can allow them to take control of their life and make important choices that they may not have been able to make otherwise.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
