Instead, it represents one of the "middle" transfers that connect the first owner to the current owner, forming part of the property's history of ownership, known as the chain of title.

Residential Property Flipping: Imagine a house that is bought and sold several times in a short period. An original owner, Ms. Chen, sells her house to Mr. Davis.
