National Endowment for the Arts

Read a random definition: Uniform Mandatory Disposition of Detainers Act

A quick definition of National Endowment for the Arts:

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is a government agency that helps people get involved in the arts. They give money to groups that do art projects, honor artists for their work, and help preserve cultural traditions. The NEA also helps kids and adults learn about the arts by funding educational programs. The agency was created by Congress in 1965 and is part of the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities.

A more thorough explanation:

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is a federal agency that supports involvement in the arts. It does this by:

  • Making grants to organizations
  • Honoring artists for their achievements
  • Expanding artistic resources
  • Preserving cultural heritage
  • Funding projects that educate children and adults in the arts

The NEA was created by Congress in 1965 and is part of the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities. This foundation also supports the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

For example, the NEA might give a grant to a theater company to help them put on a play. Or they might honor a famous musician for their contributions to the arts. By doing these things, the NEA helps to promote and support the arts in the United States.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.
