A quick definition of nuda patientia:

Term: nuda patientia

Definition: Nuda patientia means "mere sufferance" in Latin. In a servitude, the owner of the servient estate is obligated to submit to the dominant estate without taking any positive steps to enhance the exercise of the dominant servitude. For example, the owner does not have to fix a sidewalk to make it easier for the dominant estate owner to use the sidewalk.

A more thorough explanation:

nuda patientia

nuda patientia means "mere sufferance" in Latin. It refers to a situation where someone has to put up with something without being able to do anything about it. For example, if you live next to a noisy construction site, you might have to endure the noise every day. You can't stop the construction, so you have to accept it and suffer through it. This is an example of nuda patientia.

  • A homeowner has to put up with a neighbor's tree that hangs over their property and drops leaves in their yard. The homeowner can't force the neighbor to cut down the tree, so they have to accept it and clean up the leaves. This is an example of nuda patientia.
  • A tenant has to deal with a leaky faucet in their apartment. They can't fix it themselves and the landlord hasn't responded to their requests for repairs. The tenant has to put up with the dripping sound and the wasted water until the landlord takes action. This is an example of nuda patientia.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
