A quick definition of online scrip:

Online Scrip: Online scrip is a type of digital currency that can be used to make purchases on the internet. It is similar to gift cards or vouchers, but instead of a physical card, it is stored electronically. Online scrip can be purchased through various websites and can be used to buy goods and services from participating merchants. It is a convenient and secure way to shop online without the need for a credit card or bank account.

A more thorough explanation:

Online scrip is a type of electronic currency that can be used to purchase goods and services online. It is similar to gift cards or vouchers, but instead of being physical, it is digital.

For example, a company may offer online scrip as a reward for completing a survey or as a way to incentivize customers to make purchases on their website. The customer can then use the online scrip to make purchases on the company's website.

Another example is a school or non-profit organization using online scrip as a fundraising tool. Supporters can purchase online scrip through the organization's website, and a percentage of the purchase goes towards the organization's fundraising efforts.

Overall, online scrip provides a convenient and secure way to make purchases online, while also offering benefits to both businesses and organizations.
