A quick definition of present case:

A present case is a legal proceeding or controversy that is currently under consideration by a court. It can be a civil or criminal case, and it may be active or inactive. The case at bar refers to the specific case that is being discussed or decided upon by the court. A case reserved is a written statement of the facts proved at trial, which is drawn up and stipulated to by the parties so that certain legal issues can be decided by an appellate court. A test case is a lawsuit brought to establish an important legal principle or right, and it may be brought by mutual consent on agreed facts.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: A legal proceeding or controversy that is currently under consideration by a court.

Example: The present case involves a dispute between two companies over a patent infringement.

This example illustrates the definition by showing that there is an ongoing legal dispute that is currently being considered by a court. The present case refers to the specific legal proceeding that is currently under consideration.

Example: The lawyer argued that the present case is similar to a previous case that was decided in favor of their client.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.
