Simple English definitions for legal terms

PROC

Read a random definition: noncompete

A quick definition of PROC:

Term: PROC

Definition: PROC is an abbreviation that can stand for two different things. The first is PER PROCURATIONEM, which means that someone is acting on behalf of someone else. The second is PR, which stands for PUBLIC RELATIONS.

Additionally, the term PRACTICABLE refers to something that is capable of being accomplished or feasible. PRACTICABLY IRRIGABLE ACREAGE refers to land that can be irrigated for a long period of time at a reasonable cost.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: PROC is an abbreviation for "procuratioem," which means "by the agency of" or "through the representation of." It is often used in legal documents to indicate that someone is acting on behalf of another person or organization.

Example: John Smith signs a contract with ABC Company PROC Jane Doe, indicating that Jane Doe is signing on behalf of ABC Company.

Definition: PR is an abbreviation for "public relations," which refers to the practice of managing the spread of information between an individual or organization and the public. This can include creating and maintaining a positive image, handling crisis situations, and promoting products or services.

Example: The PR department of XYZ Corporation issues a press release announcing a new product launch and highlighting its features and benefits.

Definition: Practicable means that something is capable of being accomplished or feasible. It refers to something that is reasonable and can be done without too much difficulty or expense.

Example: The construction of a new highway is deemed practicable because the land is flat and there are no major obstacles in the way.

Definition: Practicably irrigable acreage refers to land that can be irrigated at a reasonable cost and for a prolonged period of time. This is important for agriculture, as it allows crops to be grown in areas that would otherwise be too dry or arid.

Example: The government provides subsidies to farmers who invest in irrigation systems to increase the practicably irrigable acreage of their land, allowing them to grow more crops and increase their profits.

These examples illustrate the definitions of the terms by showing how they are used in context. PROC is used to indicate that someone is acting on behalf of another person or organization, PR is used to refer to the practice of managing information between an individual or organization and the public, practicable refers to something that is feasible and can be accomplished without too much difficulty or expense, and practicably irrigable acreage refers to land that can be irrigated at a reasonable cost and for a prolonged period of time.

No, at least from the two people I know there that’s false. I think it’s just something like Chicago for conservatives is on par with S whereas for liberals it’s below HYS but above CCNP

It's more just not a good # for people who aren't willing to clerk conservative. I'm sure they place liberal clerks at an above average rate for a t-6 though. Maybe higher (not entirely sure)
