A quick definition of runaway:

Term: RUNAWAY

Definition: A runaway is a person, usually a young person, who leaves their home or legal guardians without permission and does not come back for a long time. It is not okay to run away without telling someone you trust.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: A runaway is a person, usually a young person, who has left the care of their legal guardians without permission and has not returned within a reasonable amount of time. This often refers to a minor who has left home without permission and may not have a specific destination in mind.

Example: Sarah, a 16-year-old girl, left home without telling her parents where she was going. She has not returned home for several days, and her parents are worried that she may be a runaway.

Explanation: This example illustrates the definition of a runaway because Sarah is a minor who left home without permission and has not returned within a reasonable amount of time. Her parents are concerned for her safety and well-being.

Example: John, a 25-year-old man, left his job and apartment behind to travel the world. He has not contacted his family in several months, and they are worried that he may be a runaway.

Explanation: This example does not illustrate the definition of a runaway because John is an adult who left voluntarily and has not been reported missing. A runaway typically refers to a minor who has left home without permission and may be in danger.

This is obviously not true for UVA. Past years show they don't send any non A results until December
