Subcontractor

A subcontractor is an individual or company that is hired by a primary contractor to perform a specific part of a larger project or service. The primary contractor holds the main agreement with the original client, and then delegates certain specialized tasks or portions of the work to the subcontractor. Subcontractors operate independently and are not considered employees of the primary contractor. This arrangement allows the primary contractor to leverage specialized expertise, manage workload efficiently, or fulfill specific requirements, while remaining responsible for the overall project delivery to the client.
