@CurvyHypnoticSheepdog: I live in Japan and I got this nodoguro (a kind of fish) based instant ramen at a pop-up stand at Shinagawa station the other day. That shit is so damn good.
@Pkron: i'm actually visiting in April!
Dkk

Got a question if anyone can advise

In asking for CAS waivers some schools say they give them but that you need to submit your application first without the CAS report and then send them some form for them to determine if they'll grant the waiver
9:08
How do you even submit the application without the CAS report? Do you just basically do the whole thing and then stop when you get to the part where you pay?
9:08
Or are they just lying
9:59
that kinda sounds like lying to me. Noooo you just have to pay and think we’ll think about it if we want to waive it
10:00
as far as i know you can't submit an application without paying the CAS report fee, and that fee can't be waived retroactively
10:05
I'm wondering if they can basically see that the application is complete but can't access any of the materials until that point
10:05
That's the only thing I can think of
10:06
they can see that you've started an application but i don't believe your progress is visible to them
10:07
i agree with bunny that they're lying. feels like a ploy to get you to submit and then to deny your waiver request under the pretense that you "didn't submit the materials correctly" or otherwise don't qualify for the waiver
10:15
One of them is very low ranked so I'm not going to bother with them but the other is W&M
10:16
You can bet they will be hearing from me until I get this damned waiver
10:16
On Reddit someone also said Albany did this to them
10:18
will never cease to amaze me how schools see fit to jerk applicants around
10:22
Yeah like just decline to cover the fee
10:22
Why bother with all this bullshit
10:23
Accomplishes nothing and just makes them look worse
10:56
schools are not your friend. they want your [federally backed loan] and that is it.
10:58
baby llama
10:58
simple as is, baby bunny noise
10:59
something that calculates the admissions index for each school and then what 25th, median, and 75th academic index would be
10:59
admissions index is AxLSAT + BXGPA + C
11:00

11:00
