A more thorough explanation:

Vestita Manus

Vestita manus (ves-ti-tuh may-nuhs) is a Latin term that refers to the right hand used in the ceremony of investiture.

Investiture is a formal ceremony in which a person is given a position of authority or power. During this ceremony, the person is usually given a symbol of their new position, such as a robe, a crown, or a scepter. In some cases, the person may also be given a ring or other piece of jewelry to symbolize their new role.

The vestita manus is the right hand that is used to receive the symbol of authority during the investiture ceremony. This hand is often covered with a special glove or other garment to signify its importance.

One example of the use of vestita manus can be found in the coronation of a monarch. During this ceremony, the monarch is given a crown to symbolize their new position. The crown is usually placed on the monarch's head by a member of the clergy using the vestita manus.

Another example of the use of vestita manus can be found in the ordination of a priest. During this ceremony, the priest is given a stole to symbolize their new role. The stole is usually placed around the priest's neck by a bishop using the vestita manus.

These examples illustrate how the vestita manus is used to symbolize the transfer of authority from one person to another during a formal ceremony.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
