Depends on goals, appeal of each school, intended area/sphere of practice.
Alright chat, from a political networking perspective, rank Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and GULC 1-4. And give at least some reasons why
It's gotta be Harvard and Georgetown above the other two, right? I mean I would say that has to be a marginal difference. Reasoning: just vibes out my booty
8:17
I would put stanford last because it’s in california
8:19
If you will typically have to go outside the geographic location of the school to do political networking I would not call a school conducive to that networking
Solid reasoning, but California is practically it's own nation state. Idk. How many californian politicians go east coast for school?
I guess a lot of the politicking would happen in sac though, right?
8:20
I guess it depends on what kind of politics you want. If you want municipal or state California is fine but if you want national you will be disadvantaged by being in California
8:22
So I think my answer here is it depends on the goal underlying your political networking
Hmmmm. I'm interested in maybe trying to scrape some data about congress staffers school associations
8:23
Like if you want to be a consultant you’re not gonna make those connections as easily in Palo Alto as DC
I'm still going with gut feel of Harvard and Georgetown
8:25
I think 1. Harvard 2. Gtown 3. Yale 4. Stanford but I also think yale one is highly dependent upon your goals and could move up
Like just by sheer class size numbers, there's bound to be a lot of Harvard and Georgetown grads to network with
8:27
I think yale got that little extra boost of prestige that might get your foot in the door where a gtown degree couldn’t
Ooooo, i like this convo.

its all coming back its all coming back to me noww2ww
Imma read that legistorm post
I wonder by knowing people at GULC, you know someone who knows the president😳
8:42
I know someone who knows that president it’s not allat crazy
It's not about knowing somebody who knows the president, it's about knowing someone who could get a letter you wrote into the president's hand and have him read it, ya know?

8:45
its about gooning
Insightful, thank you.
@seventensplit: woahhhh. Having a connection that allows you to get access to the president would be insane
8:53
Why are you talking like that
