They want to establish 75ths and medians. They will give quicker action on gpa/lsat apps above that to try to get two birds stoned at once. Then the lsat is rarer than the gpa so as they try to set that median/75th, those apps will tend to quicker decisions. As those get set, they may give A or R to people they needed to wait and see if they had space for given the above, or if needed. Say someone with a 174 and 3.45 - maybe they wait til april to see if they yield the higher gpa same lsat people.
