wrote why X’s for schools I am really excited about. My LSAT could have been higher but I chose not to retake to balance my busy grad school responsibilities and mental health. I am going for PI so I am looking for scholarships and PI job placement

Sometimes you just have to put all your eggs in one basket.
Submitted Diversity Statement (childhood/ adolescent adversity) for every school except Iowa and Maryland. Wrote Why X for Berkeley, GMU, UC Irvine. Wrote top-10 list for Georgetown. Completed Alumni interview with Georgetown.
GPA inflation. Don’t use AI to write your apps. Don’t apply with the GRE. Be intentional about location. Really understand the bimodal nature of law salaries and the lifestyle tradeoff vis a vis regular jobs.
The most important part of your application is creating a cohesive narrative! Figure out what your story is, and weave it through your resume, personal statement, and supps. :)
Do not burn yourself out with studying, keep a balance in your life – enjoy your weekends, hang with friends – when it’s time to study, focus up and avoid distractions You will end up where you belong, do not over stress!
Applied with a 3.84 and GPA increased after first semester senior year. I transferred after my first year at a big public school to a tiny liberal arts school I took the LSAT 3 times, with one cancel, and two kept scores
Take the LSAT seriously, grind your essays, connect with your LOR writers. The school you go to determines your career outcomes.
the law school application process is incredibly stressful but it will be okay!! try not to obsess over decisions and fill your time doing things you enjoy instead. AND STUDY HARD FOR THE LSAT!! you got this!

I was in the Peace Corps and was therefore given fee waivers for every school but Cornell and Columbia. Cornell said they granted waivers for Returned Peace Corps volunteers but they never got back to me.
HYSP Undergrad in STEM Wrote a GPA addendum explaining rocky freshman year but upward trajectory; other extra essays - Why Berkeley, Why Michigan, advice to younger self for GULC HTE from NYU on 1/28
don’t listen to any admissions predictors. essays/resume and your fit with a particular school are more important than your stats
I went to an undergrad with no GPAs, just written evaluations, and I’m very curious to see how this pans out :-O. Didn’t plan on studying law, but after 7 years in my industry, I’m switching careers.
Get your LSAT score up. Adcomm’s don’t view lower STEM GPA’s as favorably as you think. Applying early doesn’t do much for you. Spivey misses often. Be nice to others and practice good skin care.
At the end of the day, I am someone who values being debt free. Getting a full-ride is going to allow me to put any loans towards housing/living expenses. Prestige is great, but I am a simple gal!
Hardly anyone knows what they’re talking about. I think it behooves you to be yourself in your applications. The reward will be acceptance to a program that reflects who you really are :)
