LSAT 169 GPA 4.03 2021–22 cycle

Attending New York University

Have a compelling reason for why you want to go to law school (whatever that might be), and show it in your application! I also wouldn’t apply to 20 schools like I did – a few safeties is alright, but I think what I did was overkill. I attribute part of my success to my decision to write very specific why X essays…

LSAT 174 GPA 4.00 2024–25 cycle

Attending University of California—Los Angeles

I recommend LSAT Demon to study! You don’t need legal experience, but you should have a cohesive narrative explaining “why law, why now.” Write all optional essays that pertain to you. Apply broadly to negotiate aid and don’t be afraid to ask! Consider overall COA and location when rankings and scholarships are…

LSAT 173 GPA 3.77 2021–22 cycle

Attending University of Pennsylvania

Worry about the things you can control and do your best to let everything else go. Be a real person. There are hundreds of other people out there with your stats. You are more than just a dot on a 2x2. And that matters. Even if sometimes it doesn’t matter to a school it should matter to you. Unless it’s a decision,…

LSAT 175 GPA 3.90 2023–24 cycle

Admitted to University of Pennsylvania

making my profile public to help anyone who has the same stats at me! i stopped recording scholarship amounts after i got my award to the school i will be committing to. i didn’t remain on any waitlists. best advice is to NOT apply to as many safety schools as me; it was a waste of time and money and provided no…

LSAT 171 GPA 3.52 2026–27 cycle

Attending Vanderbilt University

Apply early, apply everywhere you would consider going. I knew I was going to Alabama, but coming across an opportunity for an additional scholarship on the Vanderbilt website made it where I am going to a top 14 school and getting paid to do it.

LSAT 170 GPA 3.91 2024–25 cycle

Attending Vanderbilt University

figure out a theme for your personal statement asap. My apps got delayed by two months because I couldn’t figure this out for so long. you might need a higher lsat than 170 for the top schools. hoping I can pull through without it, gearing up for the probability that an R&R may be necessary because you’re all so…

LSAT 173 GPA 3.76 2023–24 cycle

Attending University of Chicago

Law school is a risk, and lawyers are all about risk reduction. While the rest of your career will be spent on minimizing chances for a failure, lawsuit, etc., law school applications provide an opportunity to take large risks with very little downside (R, out some $). There but for the grace of God go I–it…

LSAT 172 GPA 3.96 2022–23 cycle

Attending University of Texas at Austin

Wrote supplementals for all my apps. Did any optional interviews. I know I want to practice in Texas, tailored my school list towards that. 3/23 Update - It was always UT, everywhere I applied was for leverage to negotiate with UT. I have a lot of personal ties to the university and Austin that were hard to give up.…

LSAT 172 GPA 3.92 2022–23 cycle

Attending University of Pennsylvania

Stanford- Wrote the songs for adcomms optional essay Columbia- Why X NYU- Why X UC Berkeley- Prog. Contribution UCLA- Why X Worked as a legal assistant for one year as an undergrad. Get your foot in the door if you can– it confirmed that I want to go into law. Entertainment law is the final goal. DM for info about…

LSAT 170 GPA 3.99 2024–25 cycle

Attending Duke University

Application Advice: Visit schools! Attending virtual info sessions is great, but I think visiting schools made a huge difference in a some of my outcomes (especially UVA and Duke) and allowed me to figure out where would be the best fit- Write all of the “Why XYZ” essays. Schools want to know that you are…

LSAT 174 GPA 3.89 2023–24 cycle

Attending Columbia University

Don’t be shy to ask for fee waivers from all schools that have that option. Some schools have a form you can fill out for need/merit fee waivers and are very generous. Ask for your recommendations as early as possible, and try to give a due date of a few weeks to a month before you intend to submit to account for…

this one is for the boys with the boomer system Mexican-American gay boy from California with PI and unicorn goals <3 Wrote pretty much all supplementals T6 down (included a Why Columbia and the Song/Class essays at Stanford as well) Also had an LSAT addendum about test-day performance. Accepted to UCLA’s Epstein…

LSAT 174 GPA 3.95 2021–22 cycle

Attending Columbia University

Many takes on the LSAT - do not let that discourage you. Really wanted to be in NYC, did not want to take any chances given the competitiveness of this past cycle so I decided to apply ED. EDIT: Do not apply ED, shoot your shot, I regret it. I feel like I could’ve gotten into HLS or gotten a large scholarship at…

LSAT 168 GPA 3.96 2024–25 cycle

Attending Vanderbilt University

LSAT. It matters. (Although I killed myself studying, I still wish I had studied even more) Take your time when filling up the applications. Ask for fee waivers (if money is a concern). You would be surprised how many will provide. Apply early (or so I’ve heard - Im not too keen of this advice) Enjoy the Process

LSAT 166 GPA 4.00 2020–21 cycle

Attending Vanderbilt University

This was a really difficult cycle. I definitely do not think my stats/outcomes are reflective of how a typical cycle goes. Also: Don’t marry yourself to one university. Apply to many, you will be surprised which ones you end up liking. I did not see myself attending Vanderbilt, but I am so glad I decided to apply.
