Take your time building your applications and your resume and personal statement. Law schools say they issue admissions decisions on a rolling basis and that review takes 4-8 weeks, but this is untrue in most circumstances. The only school that got back to me within that timeframe was ASU. So it’s okay to take your…

Admitted to Arizona State Universityif you take the LSAT for the first time in 2018 apply then instead of two years later in a global pandemic lol apply as early as you can would be my biggest recommendation. put T3 softs as I’d won a prestigious Man of the Year award at my undergraduate school, available for all students by nomination. Maybe a…
Extremely grateful for the decisions I have received and for being done with this process. If I had to start this cycle all over again, I would have cut down my school list. Although I received fee waivers to every school I applied to, there was never a realistic chance I would have attended some of these schools.…
read international justice lit to cope 10/10 would recommend (im going ma in polisci > law school and it really shows 🤡) regarding my softs, i did a 4+1 program, and graduated w a BA in french, a BA in political science, and an MA in political science at 20 ++ renegotiated my scholarship amount at Duke from $111,000…
My wisdom is this: I have no wisdom. Hi! For all those who are wondering more about me, I’m a male Mexican-American URM hailing from a southwestern state. I attended a not-at-all highly ranked state school and was seldom involved in clubs. I do have a congressional internship under my belt, as well as quite a few…
Overall happy with my cycle. I feel lucky to have been accepted by UCLA. My biggest regret is not taking online community college classes seriously. Two classes dropped my GPA from the 3.7 range to 3.59 Did all of the optional essays for all my applications. Applied to PI programs when available. Withdrew from…
“The mighty in their pride walk alone to destruction.” - Calvin Coolidge “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated…
Nontraditional Student, 31 years old. Wrote a GPA Addendum as my CAS GPA included classes from over a decade ago. My GPA since coming back to school is a 3.91. Work experience is a lot of restaurants, a couple of political campaigns, and two years in advertising (commercial production). C&F: Misdemeanor arrest from…
Worry about the things you can control and do your best to let everything else go. Be a real person. There are hundreds of other people out there with your stats. You are more than just a dot on a 2x2. And that matters. Even if sometimes it doesn’t matter to a school it should matter to you. Unless it’s a decision,…
I went to an utterly irrelevant state undergraduate institution and did virtually nothing of note after graduating, but I had an (apparently) interesting story of self growth to tell of my 5 years post college. Study hard for the LSAT and write your ass off on the essays and you’ll surprise yourself.
LSAT 167 GPA 3.84 2021–22 cycle
Attending University of Notre Dame
Big surprise. After applying I prayed to God every night to get me into Notre Dame. Even if I got waitlisted everywhere, let Notre Dame be the school that lets me in. Have faith, God is listening. He tests us, but only to make us stronger. ND was my top choice from the start. I had two very generous offers from…
making my profile public to help anyone who has the same stats at me! i stopped recording scholarship amounts after i got my award to the school i will be committing to. i didn’t remain on any waitlists. best advice is to NOT apply to as many safety schools as me; it was a waste of time and money and provided no…
Softs/essays/work experience/LSAT can counteract a weak GPA (especially if you’re older, perhaps?). Find a writer friend to review your boilerplate personal statement to catch the one passive voice clause that slips through your filter.
Reapplying in a few years for HLS. If you get an HLS II, don’t brick the interview like me
Easier said than done but STAY OFF REDDIT. All that comes from the subreddit is anxiety.
Man! I wish I applied earlier! Dedicate a couple months to your personal narrative, and take a whole year for the LSAT. I only dedicated a couple months, which I really regret since taking a whole year would’ve yielded results more exacting to my potential… I think! Applied to pretty much every school in January…
Some random advice: Try for an early A at a safety, even if your application is unpolished. Look for info on LSD to find which schools historically respond early. Once you bag an early A, just skip any school that’s worse - save time, money, stress. Also serves as a proof of concept that your personal statement is…
this process is brutal. sometimes being chronically online makes it better (misery loves company, after all), but sometimes it will make it worse. make time to unplug and ride the wave. you’ll end up where you’re supposed to!
