…choices going in were Chicago, Yale, and Berkeley. I was waitlisted at all 3. My Yale interview was not ideal (asked some tough questions that I felt were really missing the point and focusing on ancient history) but that’s life! On the other hand, my Chicago interview was awesome and I was still WL both placed. I…

Admitted to University of Michigan…LSAT score met or exceeded the median, and was rejected or waitlisted at those where I fell short. I truly believe the scores get your foot in the door and your essays are what separate you from other applicants. Ultimately, my decision came down to UCLA, Michigan, Duke, and Virginia. I loved all four of their…

…choice” I think this helped me not get too crushed by any waitlist, rejection, or sub-par scholarship offer, and it helped me genuinely evaluate all of my options The waiting game sucks: I was in high anxiety waiting for decisions and scholarships all cycle. I looked at this website and reddit way too much. Live…
Shoot your shot and APPLY EARLY because timing matters (especially for $$)!!! My friends with similar backgrounds, gpa, and higher lsat scores get rejected or waitlisted after applying in January rather than October/November. As long as your score isn’t horrendous, apply with the score you have instead of waiting…

…so I felt adding a why X again was unnecessary. I was waitlisted at Penn, CLS, and GULC in the 20-21 cycle, & rejected at NYU. CLS: new PS, new DS, slightly updated resume, nothing spectacular to add.- UChi: wrote Why UChi. I think this fit really well with the school in terms of their whole focus, idk I think an…
…and through the summer. Planned on waiting out all T14 waitlists until the end, but by early August they did not look promising so I requested deferral offers. Michigan responded back within one business day and extended a deferral offer four days later. I was able to secure a legal job for the year ahead of time…

Wrote “Why X” for Chicago, Penn (core values), Michigan, Berkeley, UVA, NDLS. Included minor “Why X” in Columbia PS. End of cycle! Will stay on all waitlists except WashU but most likely attending either NYU, UVA, or Michigan.
…I am currently riding out the UChicago, Columbia, and NYU waitlists, but I am aware that those are unlikely to have movement.
Reapplying to schools that you were waitlisted at is not a bad thing, It actually looks good to reapply
…back to you in months, does not guarantee a rejection or waitlist. Keep your head up and stay the course. *My last–and possibly most important–piece of advice is to KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR OWN PRIZE. Good luck!
Successfully requested deferral offer from waitlist at Michigan after receiving 40 hr/wk work opportunity for the coming year.
…first wave of admits) and UChicago (which obvi ended up a waitlist). Other details about stats/softs. I took the LSAT 3 times: 169, 173 (Flex), 178 (flex). I listed my softs as T3 because I played D1 baseball (non-HYP Ivy) and made the Academic All-America team one season. My job out of undergrad was very unique…
…test scores. NYU - got HTE, sent in a LOCI, was waitlisted. I submitted a LOCI each month and completed the interview. I received a feeler email on 7/28, I responded to it and then received a feeler call that same day. Received offer of admission on 7/29. UVA - I went UR2 end of Sept, read that you could send in a…
Wrote Why X Essays for every school except: Harvard- Penn (wrote Why X as LOCI upon waitlist) USC (wrote Rothman) Other Essay Topics: PS: Focused on interest in patent law- DS: Discussed experiences as a woman in STEM Softs: STEM degree (EE)- Work experience as a software engineer Accelerated MBA degree
Not sure how valid my advice is (see waitlists below), but here goes: Take the LSAT when you’re ready. Take your time with the essays. Don’t stress too much. It’d be nice to get into every school, but you only need to get accepted once to be a lawyer!
