Cycle Recap for the 24-25 Admissions Cycle TL;DR: Military work experience was a major boost. Targeted state schools to maximize partial veterans’ benefits. Thrilled to be attending UVA - was my dream from the beginning and so thankful it worked out. Preparation Studied for the LSAT on and off for two years, taking…

Admitted to University of California—Los AngelesYou should take most of your law school admissions advice from admission officers. I recommend watching admission officer’s podcasts, YouTube channels, and attending events where you can meet them and ask questions. They are the ones deciding whether you’re getting accepted or not, so you should seek and value their…

I am an LSAT Tutor & I review application essays; my DMs are open. If you want to learn more about my study methods, essays, or work with me feel free to reach out! LSAT: I studied for a whole year before the taking the LSAT. The first 3 or so months were chill just learning concepts, then I focused more on drilling…
Don’t use AI. Use your own words. They can tell. Get some work experience. There’s no reason to rush, you’re young. Practice your writing. Take the LSAT writing portion seriously. Apply only to places you can imagine going.
I think the reason I did very well despite being KJD and below T14 LSAT median is that my application heavily centered around a cohesive theme (basically my Why Law) which tied together every single part of my application. My personal statement, diversity statement, resume, and school supplemental essays were all…
30,000-foot View Advice: Apply Early:- I have all too many friends who applied later in the process and got totally shut out of schools that they may well have gotten an acceptance from had they applied early. This year (2024-25) was unique in the volume increase in applicants, so maybe with schools being better…
Hi! I don’t have any crazy advice - I knew I’d have to overcome my (old) GPA, so I got my LSAT as high as possible and spent a ton of time on my essays. Took the LSAT three times, which was clearly worth it. My WE carried my app for sure, so if you’ve got an interesting background, lean into it!
Not breaking into the 170s was actually, in fact, not the end of the world! Be confident in your narrative and humble in your expectations and the application process will be full of happy surprises :)

Applying during the 2024-2025 cycle. Currently in grad school and will update throughout the year. Used fee waivers for all application fees and all but 10 CAS fees. Did not negotiate with any school since most got back to me after I was happy with other offers.
Have a coherent narrative for why law. Thousands of Gen Z graduates are struggling to find employment and figure out what they want to do with their lives. For some, law school looks like an escape from that uncertainty. It isn’t. Law school is an enormous commitment of time, money, and energy. Before applying, gain…
Two Cycles Ago: Going to R&R because I know I can score higher on my LSAT and get full-ride to my dream school. Apply early and take your time with this process. You only get to do law school once. There’s no need to rush into this just because you had a plan/vision set up one particular way. You got this! Now:…
Drink a five-C veggie smoothie (carrots, cucumbers, coriander, cabbages, and celery) mixed with fresh apple juice (add kale if possible) every single morning for your general health and a concentration boost. Subscribe for 7Sage classes (you can get them for $1 if you show financial need) and also get the PowerScore…
As a re-applicant, I recommend reviewing my profile from the last cycle before proceeding (please refer to user “ModernSeoul”). Comparing the two, you’ll notice that I was much more successful this cycle than last, with over 8x more in scholarship money and 8 straight acceptances (compared to 0). I think this came…
General My largest takeaway is: Create a genuine and polished package of application materials. Quality > quantity, both in terms of essay length and the number of optional essays you submit.- If you have no geographic constraints and have the funds available, apply broadly. This is a very unpredictable process. In…
Advice: This is not just a numbers game. You can set yourself apart in other ways and it will be essential when shopping in the T-25 or better range. URM boost is real, but I believe my extracurriculars and unique WE carried heavy. Don’t blanket the T-14, blanket the T-30/50/75. Give yourself realistic options with…
