Admitted to Arizona State UniversityWrote Why X for my top choices, optional essays, and did requested, relevant addenda. Splitter but had some decent softs, there is hope for you!
LongGrotesqueDachshund left no wisdom for posterity… (◕︵◕) Except this: it’s all fucking random. Also being old and wise actually does help.
u/WordyGorl on r/LawSchoolAdmissions if you want to chat about my cycle :) PI goals & hoping to clerk, which is why I am attending Duke!
Do what’s best for you. Write Why X for schools that you are actually interested in. Write a diversity statement if you have something to say!
If you are waitlisted at a school (and really want to get in), GO TOUR THAT SCHOOL AND KEEP SENDING LOCIs (without annoying them of course).
At this rate, I think it is fair to say that I am underperforming. The hardest part about this process is not knowing what you did wrong.
Please write a GPA/LSAT addendum (if its valid). I regret not writing one, I was scared to write one for many reasons but I still regret it
I graduated UG in 2019 and went straight into a 2 year MA program (2019-2021; 3.77 GPA) so I guess that would technically make me a KJD
LSATDemon taught me everything I needed to now. I would it recommend to anyone preparing for the LSAT and law school admissions generally.
I wrote a “Why X” for every school at the bottom of my personal statement, about a paragraph for each. T3 softs because I did Americorps.
Apply early if you can! I think I owe my acceptances to the fact that I applied in September before the giant wave of winter applicants.
Just want to leave a word of encouragement for my fellow serious C&F applicants, you can overcome your past. Don’t let it hold you back!
Re-applicant from last cycle. Spent the whole spring and summer studying for the LSAT, took it in August, and improved from 161 to 168.
If you have all of your materials ready, apply as soon as possible! Also, do not apply to as many schools as I did - it was a mistake.
Take the test five times, get the best score you’re capable of, and apply broadly. Don’t limit yourself to a “local” school.
Please please please work hard to push out a cohesive narrative, write the supplements if possible, and leave this stupid website.
Low GPA because I dropped out of school. Returned to school last year and my GPA at the institution I will graduate from is 4.18.
