Took the LSAT twice, April 2023 and June 2023. Highest score was April. Applied to every school by 10/31. Wrote all optional essays that were offered. Received all fee waivers that I requested. Did not negotiate any scholarships or write any LOCIs for the schools I was waitlisted at. Withdrew from WashU in late…
Take sooooo many deep breaths. Everything happens for a reason. You are going to do great and end up right where you need to be!!!
Apply to your top choices last (ya know, within reason). Michigan was pretty much my top choice going into this and so (logically, I thought) was the first school I applied to. My materials got a lot stronger, though, as I kept on tweaking my personal statement and got better at writing supplemental essays. I was…
My cycle took 158 days. Go Blue Devils! Here’s some unsolicited advice: shoot your shot. I was pretty convinced that T-14 admissions or scholarships would be largely unattainable for me because of my below-median LSAT - but remember, numbers are only part of your application. More unsolicited advice: STUDY STUDY…

let them tell you no, apply everywhere!
Never reveal everything you know.
There’s so much more to fit than ranking and you can’t control how brutal your cycle will be, so just remember: the schools that reject you failed to recognize your value and the schools that accept you are the ones that deserve you.
Invest the time and money to kick the LSAT’s butt and if you have a bad GPA, spend some time getting work experience and learning about how the law functions in the real world in whatever way you can. Also try to show up to the virtual forums and other events. Ultimately, believe in yourself and try to enjoy the…
I decided to attend Emory because it gave me good BL chances at the best price point in a really good location(pending waitlists, but I don’t expect any bites from my LOCIs). If you want a T14 or even a T20 acceptance at a 3.6, you will need to aim higher than a 170. I would advise future applicants to retake 170s…
Completed all applications by the first week in October. Wrote at least one optional for all schools! 155 -> 167 -> 175 (No addendum written)
Thoughts on particular schools UNC “hold” is a soft waitlist, and unless you demonstrate visit-level interest after receiving it, it will turn into a real waitlist- Address went long at Michigan the Thursday/Friday before the week I got the A Gray bar at WashU within a week of decision GW date did disappear but I do…

If you’re reading this, I hope you have an excellent application cycle! I’ve added as much info as I can to give you an idea how a nontraditional student’s application and journey might look like. My Background I’ve worked as a chip designer for a few large tech companies over the last 9 years. I’d like to make a…
Don’t worry so much about it. You’re fine.
Most of what worked for me as a splitter–I assume that’s why you’re reading this–is what you would expect (difficult major + writing ability + significant work experience) and doesn’t lend itself to “advice.” I did, however, think about how to address a downward trend in my grades. My GPA is low because of my final…
Applying Truly, apply anywhere you want to go (finances willing). You don’t want to leave any stone unturned- If you can, try to have a least two safetys Nothing is guaranteed in this process. Most schools do not admit in a predictable pattern or timeline and even if they do, you can always be surprised. When I…
