Although both UMN and GWU were tempting, the Iowa offer was too good to pass up. I didn’t want to sit around on waitlists and I reconciled a slightly lower ranking for $$$$

Admitted to George Washington University…GPA was 3.82, then went through rest of cycle (before most waitlists) with 3.88 Final CAS GPA 3.91 At least two glowing letters of rec out of four (very likely) decent ones ORM
…test scores. NYU - got HTE, sent in a LOCI, was waitlisted. I submitted a LOCI each month and completed the interview. I received a feeler email on 7/28, I responded to it and then received a feeler call that same day. Received offer of admission on 7/29. UVA - I went UR2 end of Sept, read that you could send in a…
…optional interview for Northwestern (update: also did the waitlist interview for Northwestern as well on 3/3/22) Update: submitted LOCI for NYU and NW in late march/early april. Good luck to you if you’re reading this :)
I guess just apply early, lol. I got into comparable schools like GW and Fordham but was waitlisted by BU and BC (at least partially) because I decided to apply too late.
…Georgetown: Interviewed mid October; Was on the regular waitlist; Applied to both FT/PT; Received a feeler March 26 about my interest in the PT program; Was released from the WL May 14; I think they didn’t have any more space specifically in the evening program George Washington: Received a pretty low scholarship…
Not a bad cycle overall. I got waitlisted more than I was expecting. Some advice: show interest! If you would consider a school and hold it above another school, then go to interest meetings and schedule meetings 1:1 with admissions people.
APPLY EARLY!!! BEFORE MID OCTOBER!!! DO IT!!! to be honest and not to be bitter, but i suspect i could have gotten into some of my waitlists as a sept/oct applicant. i thought applying before the new year was sufficiently ‘early’ but looking back i wish had gotten my materials together over the summer. don’t get me…
…at Duke, Cornell, UCLA, or Boston. Most of those schools waitlisted me; none of them accepted me outright. That being said, I did this process very quickly. I decided I was going to go to law school in June, studied for the LSAT in July-August, and took the August-September-October LSATs, scoring a 171 on both of my…
Try to apply early in the cycle. I think a good number of my waitlists would have been acceptances if I’d applied earlier. That or my essays suck
…decent scholarship, so thank god the 2 ED’s ended up being waitlists) it essentially came down to what city I could see myself living in. Fordham would have been fine with the scholarship I got, and would have had an ok chance at BigLaw, but I simply don’t like NYC enough to take a chance on ending up with a…
…the LSAT again, take the LSAT again. Get money not waitlists. I suffered from having an international gpa (see lowball $cholly offers from Brooklyn and Cardozo) and a below 170 LSAT (WL @ UT and WashU). I was always planning to consider the schools that gave me the best **$cholar$hip. I applied to NYU on 9/15, I got…
…the school i will be committing to. i didn’t remain on any waitlists. best advice is to NOT apply to as many safety schools as me; it was a waste of time and money and provided no scholarship leverage. good luck to everybody!
