GPA inflation. Don’t use AI to write your apps. Don’t apply with the GRE. Be intentional about location. Really understand the bimodal nature of law salaries and the lifestyle tradeoff vis a vis regular jobs.

Wrote “Why X”’s for my top choice schools, diversity statements when they were accepted (not a URM but Southeast Asian), and a GPA addendum. Initially applied with 15high LSAT. Retook in January with current score.
Shoot your shot. Have backups. Just like in life, don’t expect much. You can’t control where you get in, but you can definitely control what you make of the opportunity at a place that decides to show you some love.
Hello fellow LSD lurkers! All apps were submitted between December 2nd and 8th. Started studying for the LSAT during the summer of my junior year. Sat the exam twice, highest score was September 2023.
TFA High school Physics teacher 2 years in Alamo, TX Middle school STEM teacher 1 year in San Antonio, TX Father of 2 Diversity Statement (Chicanx) LSAT addendum (multiple takes 153->158->167)
Take the LSAT 2-3 times until you score at or above your LSAT PT average. Give yourself 5+ months to study for the LSAT as well! Apply in September if you can, and definitely before Thanksgiving.

I am a single teen mom which helped explain my low GPA to admissions committees. First Lsat was a 159, gpa when applying was a 3.14. I sent in an updated transcript in apr 21 for waitlists
Tier 3 Softs: First-gen, low-income; prestigious merit scholarship; T10 Undergrad Submitted diversity statement and optional essays. Applied later in cycle (December-January apps)
Went into the process being okay with a lot of debt, came out of it realizing that a full ride in a market I want to be in means a big deal to me. Did not write any LOCIs whatsoever.
Very tough cycle this year, but ended up with a result I am extremely happy with. If you are already on this site then you are educated enough about the application process.
Apply early as possible. Sending a LOCI right before my decision at 2 schools may have been the difference between a WL and R. Tour campus before deciding
Advice: Write an impeccable PS. Go to your university’s career center to edit your resume. Request recommendations from people you have built relationships with.
Use 7Sage, LSAT Demon, Spivey Consulting, and Dean Z resources. They are all amazing and together combine for the most effective and complete admissions advice.
Control what you can control.
If you are waitlisted at a school (and really want to get in), GO TOUR THAT SCHOOL AND KEEP SENDING LOCIs (without annoying them of course).
