Welcome to BINGO’s comprehensive and far-too-detailed thoughts on law school in general. Now that I’m part of the way through 1L, i’ve come back to update this, add info, organize it better, and get rid of anything I thought was inaccurate. This isn’t advice for everyone, its just my thoughts on what worked for me.…

Admitted to University of California (Hastings)I tried to fill my profile as much as possible to be transparent for those of you after me. Admissions is very stressful so here’s a few pointers for those with similar stats/softs/details to me: C and F (probably the biggest fear I had): Own up to it and use it to your advantage. Being willing to be transparent…
Take a deep breath, get yourself a cinnamon roll, and watch the office <3 ““You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Wayne Gretzky” -Michael Scott I panic applied to so many schools because I was unsure how my cycle would turn out as a reverse splitter. My cycle is proof that the LSAT isn’t everything! My…
Don’t let the negativity get you down! There was so much negativity around me from the moment I started sharing I wanted to go to law school up until now (So much gatekeeping energy). The way so many voices seemed to say only stats matter or implied my story wouldn’t cut it made me so nervous. However, even if…
So grateful for my acceptance! This was such a tough and humbling cycle so to receive an offer from such a great law school with a huge scholarship feels like a dream come true. My advice to future applicants is as follows: Do not underestimate the importance of the LSAT. I was scoring in the low 170s on PTs but…
LSAT 157 GPA 3.92 2023–24 cycle
Attending Loyola Marymount University—Los Angeles
The LSAT’s biggest hater. If you’re like me and are terrible at studying for and taking standardized tests, don’t let your lack-luster test taking abilities deter you from law school. Work hard in undergrad, learn to read and write well, keep your expectations realistic, and you can absolutely get into law school!…
Just trying to shoot my shot and whatever sticks, sticks! (EDIT: DO IT SHOOT YOUR SHOT) seriously the only risk of betting on yourself is that silly application fee… if you are looking at this b/c you saw my little dot on the graphs and you also have a lower lsat like me then take this as ur sign to just put urself…
If you are a splitter, apply as soon as possible. I applied in Oct but should have applied in September but was lazy. I also had subpar personal statements (if you are non-trad, focus on Why Law? and Why Now?). I shouldn’t have wasted my ED on Berk as I knew I wouldn’t get in, but it was my top choice as a Bay Area…
Do it or do not do it. You will regret both. - Soren Kierkegaard
Your hard work and dedication will get you far. Trust in yourself and be a good, honest, ethical, and kind person. You got this! The world is your oyster.
Formulate your narrative. Know your narrative. A great story trumps good scores. Shoot your shot. You have nothing to lose. Don’t let your scores determine where you apply. When you can’t win by being better, win by being different. Stop asking other people where YOU should apply.
LSAT 160 GPA 4.02 2026–27 cycle
Admitted to University of California (Hastings)
You are better than your metrics, so make sure you show that. Believe in yourself and apply ambitiously… you never know what could happen.
LSAT: Take a break and make sure to rest your brain before you take the test. When you take practice tests, mimic the conditions of test day. I wore the same exact outfit every time I took a PT and styled my hair the same exact way every single time. Schedule time after your LSAT to decompress. I got a massage and a…

LSAT 172 GPA 2.94 2026–27 cycle
Admitted to University of California (Hastings)
Apply as early as possible. I didn’t, and it shows.
LSAT 165 GPA 3.95 2025–26 cycle
Attending University of California—Irvine
Don’t let the recommended experience you lack on your resume completely block you from applying (though please get that experience if it makes sense for you to; it didn’t for my circumstances). Admissions are looking for human beings and their stories, not a list of filled checkboxes. You can demonstrate your…
Getting rejected sucks, but just remember they don’t see what you’re capable of where others will. Keep moving forward.
