Don’t give up and don’t believe you don’t have a shot because of your scores! And don’t hide your political values because you think adcoms will disagree with you. Be who you are and it will work out!

Admitted to American University-Non-URM SA Hispanic -save your money and do not aply to schools you would not go to unless you can use their acceptance to your advantage for scholarship purposes. -Good luck❤ All glory to God
Waitlisted at these schools last cycle with the same stats: BC WashU Emory I withdrew from all three in May 2021 and decided to re-apply the next cycle since I committed to my job for another year
GPA > WE I naively thought WE would benefit me in the admissions process but was wrong. My 3.77 went to a 3.5 after a challenging semester of 18 credits and 2 different jobs at 45+ hours per week.
Get your LSAT score up. Adcomm’s don’t view lower STEM GPA’s as favorably as you think. Applying early doesn’t do much for you. Spivey misses often. Be nice to others and practice good skin care.
Take the LSAT 2-3 times until you score at or above your LSAT PT average. Give yourself 5+ months to study for the LSAT as well! Apply in September if you can, and definitely before Thanksgiving.
Study for the LSAT as much as you can, even though it’s expensive. The $1,000-$2,000 cost of tutoring may save you tens of thousands of dollars in debt as a law student even at great law schools.
Fortune favors the bold (yolo every application)
Finishing in the top of your class is more important than the school’s ranking. By knowing this, I prioritized scholarships and geographic location to make what I believe is the best decision.
This such a stressful process - you are worthy !! Some of the under review/timeline data is wonky because I took the February LSAT and told some schools to hold until they received the score.
Wrote Why X Essays for all applications. Withdrew after ED acceptance to Wisconsin to be fair to other applicants. Received a scholarship from Wisconsin but I’m unable to disclose the amount.
URM: Black and Hispanic Took October LSAT Flex and January LSAT Flex (Schools waited for new score) My old account with previous stats and decisions from this cycle: futurelawstudent
LSAT 155 GPA 3.74 2022–23 cycle
Admitted to American University
Not the greatest test taker ever, but was still able to get many acceptances. Life experience is important too – do well on the LSAT, but don’t forget about the rest of the picture.
Don’t settle for your first LSAT score!! I took the LSAT 3 times. I started volunteering at my local legal clinic. I knew my gpa wasn’t great and found ways to get my soft stronger.
Welcome to the Waitlist. Although I am unable to offer you admission at this time, I am impressed with your qualifications. Enjoy your stay, you’re going to be a here for a while.
T3 Softs- LGBTQ+, Published Academic, 3.5 yrs WE in law firm (certified paralegal) T4 Softs- Honors Societies, President Master’s Degree Submitted Diversity statements.
I guess just apply early, lol. I got into comparable schools like GW and Fordham but was waitlisted by BU and BC (at least partially) because I decided to apply too late.
I got in AUWCL off waitlist in June very early all things considered. I sent a LOCI indicating a promotion at work and all was cool with my boss to attend part time.
