American citizen that graduated from a UK Russell Group university with a 2:1. T3 - AmeriCorps, single-parent household, lots of volunteer and nonprofit work If I could turn back time I would’ve taken the LSAT again for a higher score and applied much earlier.

always have faith in yourself!!! you can get into a T14 without a 170. write some killer essays and get your apps in as early as you can but also when you feel confident in them (it’s okay to not have them in as soon as apps open - you are not late and not behind).
You are amazing and I hope for nothing but great things in your future ❤️💨🦭 If your wondering why ND, I absolutely loved my visit, I loved the idea of doing the London Law Program, and it was the cheapest of the schools I was truly considering (UCLA, Vandy, NDLS).
Start working on your personal statement early.
Hello hello! I only wrote Why X for the University of Michigan, so I would encourage writing those for any available schools. I am currently riding out the UChicago, Columbia, and NYU waitlists, but I am aware that those are unlikely to have movement.
The total cost of the 2024-25 application cycle for me was $1,887.40: 13 Applications: $837.40- CAS subscription: $213.20 2 LSAT administrations: $476.00 1 LSAT post-test score preview: $84.80 4 months of 7Sage tutoring subscription: $276.00
Go for the higher LSAT score and give yourself plenty of time to study for and take it! Write as many optionals as possible and make the case for how you are unique to a school given your experiences, interests, etc. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give Wave
Figure out what values the law school is looking for (e.g. diligence, honesty, ambition, etc.) and tailor your personal statement and essays to that. I got into William and Mary and NDLS by doing so, despite my GPA and lack of softs
Apply earlier, and not during a pandemic. Spend less time on here (same goes for Reddit). Wrote optional essays for Stanford (3 books, 3 songs), Georgetown (Top 10 list) and a “Why X?” for UVA, Michigan, Duke, Cornell, and ASU.
Wrote “Why X” for Chicago, Penn (core values), Michigan, Berkeley, UVA, NDLS. Included minor “Why X” in Columbia PS. End of cycle! Will stay on all waitlists except WashU but most likely attending either NYU, UVA, or Michigan.
Submitted with a 3.80, Fall grades increased it to 3.83, Spring Grades to 3.85. Go Terriers! I loved my visit to BU which was the big decisive factor for me. I’m still going to ride some WL’s though (HLS and Mich).
I’m old, fat and broken. Don’t wait until you get like me to make big changes: take chances and enjoy the ride. Undergrad in Criminology/Legal Studies, Graduate in Computer Science, 10+yrs Intelligence Community.
LSAT 170 GPA 3.74 2023–24 cycle

It’s good to be little, it’s good to be small. STEM major who has always had a passion for law and policy and performed better in those classes. Why: Umich, Duke, UVA, NW, GTown (optional essay + ED), NDLS, Vandy
I was in the Peace Corps and was therefore given fee waivers for every school but Cornell and Columbia. Cornell said they granted waivers for Returned Peace Corps volunteers but they never got back to me.
Sent a Why X to Penn, UVA, Duke, Georgetown, Michigan Legal internship experience (w/ District Attorney) Massive upwards trend in GPA (started college pre-med, wrote addendum for all schools)
Be patient and avoid checking your app status every 45 minutes like I did if you value your sanity. It will all work out in the end!
Unsolicited Fee Waivers from - Ohio State UChicago Duke Alabama GWU (even tho app is free) University of Denver Arizona State University of Utah University of Washington USC Gould NYU Temple
