EMAIL SCHOOLS AND ASK FOR CAS FEE WAIVERS!!! They can be incredibly helpful in widening your net. A majority of schools will say no, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also get a few to say yes. So far, I have received a CAS waiver (solicited) from: Brigham Young University (chose not to apply) Cleveland State…

Everything happens for a reason
When, in disgrace with fortune and men’s eyes, I all alone beweep my outcast state, And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries, And look upon myself and curse my fate, Wishing me like to one more rich in hope, Featured like him, like him with friends possessed, Desiring this man’s art and that man’s scope, With…
The only person stopping you from making your dreams happen is yourself, have faith great things will follow suit
Apply wide. Really wide. Embarrassingly wide. Then let the dust settle and make the smartest boring decision available. Prestige is a fine thing until you’re paying for it with money you don’t have chasing outcomes that aren’t guaranteed. The humble path taken confidently beats the prestigious path taken anxiously…
Red eyes, Jon realized, but not like Melisandre’s. He had a weirwood’s eyes. Red eyes, red mouth, white fur. Blood and bone, like a heart tree. He belongs to the old gods, this one. And he alone of all the direwolves was white. Six pups they’d found in the late summer snows, him and Robb; five that were grey and…
My mistakes: •Originally considered a gap year to study and work. Instead, I graduated in December 2021 and changed my mind, studying for almost a month and got a 156 on January LSAT. •Applied late in the cycle and got phenomenal responses from low tier and month-long static from my top choices. Don’t be deterred by not seeing your stats have admits to a school here. Not every applicant uses LSD. Use the LSAC Guide to Choosing Law Schools. The admissions data there gives a bigger picture than what you will glean here.
Wrote why x for every school. T5 undergrad. Softs are internships/ugrad clerkships with state circuit court judges & DOJ, and WE post-undergrad is an administration position not in law. Tough cycle, but life goes on.
Keep taking the LSAT. And take it in-person. I went 162 -> 168 -> 167 -> 168 -> 175. The last one was the only one I didn’t take at home or in a stupid hotel. Remote test-taking sucks. Go to the testing place.
LSAC GPA: 3.12, Degree GPA 3.8 (wrote gpa addendum to explain) Wrote Why X for every school and optional essays for schools that gave the choice also wrote diversity statement
Take the test five times, get the best score you’re capable of, and apply broadly. Don’t limit yourself to a “local” school.
