Start studying for the lsat 2 months before you think you should. Reach out to LORs in the spring before apps open and get them in LSAC by September. Utilize your university writing center; it is their job to help you start/fix your essays. You got this!! You will get into school.
I could say this a million times, but it’s only true if you believe it: Your JD will be worth as much as you make it—as much as YOU make it! It’s not the school you attend, but your performance in that school and beyond that truly matters. Figure out what it’s going to take, commit, put your head down, grind, and…
You don’t need a 170 LSAT to go to a good law school. That being said, a higher LSAT would definitely make things easier, open more doors, and give you more scholarship options. Simple Advice: Spend a lot of time to craft your personal statement/application to show why you want to go to law school. ***This is SUPER…
LGBTQ+ (nonbinary and queer/bisexual), first gen, low income background (wrote abt gender/sexuality stuff in a conservative workplace for my diversity statement). English, Italian, & German speaker. Latin/ancient Greek knower (can’t really “speak” these lol) I stuck with NYC area schools only because my partner’s…
*** Off the UNH Waitlist, my top pick! I sent one formal LOCI, a handful of informal ones, two additional letters of recommendation, and increased my LSAT from 152 to 161 - all after being placed on the waitlist in January. *** R&R, previous year’s results are under ‘mayungiles’. Reapplying because the Army offered…
This cycle is brutal
schools only care about your highest lsat score! take, re-take, and re-re-take until you’re happy.
Apply wide. Really wide. Embarrassingly wide. Then let the dust settle and make the smartest boring decision available. Prestige is a fine thing until you’re paying for it with money you don’t have chasing outcomes that aren’t guaranteed. The humble path taken confidently beats the prestigious path taken anxiously…
One of my loved ones reminded me recently how proud they are that I am taking this first step, and I (a random internet stranger) am proud of + admire all of you. Truly, **we worked hard to get here and will do/are doing what we can for applications. Sending good vibes! And I am manifesting that your application…
My goal is to graduate with as little debt as possible, ideally none :)
I’m a non-trad whose ideal school turned out to be within driving distance of my house, with admission standards just right for my established qualifications. So I only applied to one school. Do what’s right for you and the world while staying open-minded about your future path; you may find similar opportunities…
-Shoot your Shot. The worst thing schools can say is no. -Take advantage of fee waivers. If they waived you there’s a good chance they want you at their school -Make your personal statement personal. Talk about your life, your favorite music, art, game but make sure you can tie it back to the school you want to…
Use the 509 reports and the LSAC website data for school acceptance rates based on LSAT/GPA. I used LSAT Demon to study. Their scholarship estimator will give you important info about likelihood of scholarships based on your numbers. Apply early in the cycle. Good luck!
APPLY TO LAW SCHOOL. Don’t let anyone discourage you. Go to the best school that gives you the most money!!!!!!! I will only be including the day sent and when I received a decision date because law schools will take years to get back to you with a decision.
Wrote Why X and Leadership Essays for everywhere I could! Relevant government and university work experience throughout undergrad Big 10 Undergrad I had COVID and my dad was in the hospital w it when I took LSAT, probably should’ve written an addendum
Engineering really messed my GPA up :/ Took 4 years off from school to work. Ended up spending time raising money for charity and managing a bar. Maintained a 3.5 after reenrolling and hopefully they take my improvements into consideration.
