A quick definition of ad respondendum:

Ad respondendum is a Latin term that means "to answer." It is often used in legal contexts, such as the capias ad respondendum and habeas corpus ad respondendum. Habeas corpus is a writ that is used to bring a person before a court to ensure that their imprisonment or detention is legal. It can also be used to review the legality of an arrest or commitment, the right to bail, or the jurisdiction of a court. There are different types of habeas corpus writs, such as ad deliberandum et recipiendum, ad faciendum et recipiendum, ad prosequendum, ad satisfaciendum, ad subjiciendum, and ad testificandum.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Ad respondendum is a Latin term that means "to answer." It is often used in legal contexts.

  • Capias ad respondendum: A writ used to bring a defendant before a court to answer to a civil complaint.
  • Habeas corpus ad respondendum: A writ used in civil cases to remove a person from one court's custody into that of another court, in which the person may then be sued.

These examples illustrate how ad respondendum is used in legal contexts to refer to the act of answering to a complaint or being brought before a court to respond to a legal matter.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
