Simple English definitions for legal terms

common area

Read a random definition: stock association

A quick definition of common area:

Common area: A common area is a space or place that is shared by many people who live or work in the same building or area. For example, in an apartment building, the common area might be a pool, laundry room, or mail room that everyone who lives there can use. In a mall, the common area might be a parking lot that all the stores share. The people who use the common area have to pay money to keep it clean and working well. The people who manage the building or area are in charge of taking care of the common area.

A more thorough explanation:

A common area is a shared space or facility that is used by multiple unit owners or shareholders of a common interest development (CID). These areas are managed by the association or board of directors of the CID, and each member or shareholder must contribute to the CID to maintain the common areas, usually in periodic fees.

  • In a housing CID, common areas can include yard space, a basketball court, pool, laundry room, or a mail room.
  • In a business CID, common areas can include a lobby in a high-rise office building or a parking lot for businesses in a mall.

For example, in a housing CID, the pool is a common area that is shared by all the residents. The association or board of directors of the CID is responsible for maintaining the pool, and each resident must pay a fee to contribute to the maintenance costs. Similarly, in a business CID, the parking lot is a common area that is shared by all the businesses in the mall. The association or board of directors of the CID is responsible for maintaining the parking lot, and each business must pay a fee to contribute to the maintenance costs.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.

Indeed. I need a count for how many exectuive orders he has signed and how many already have pending lawsuits.
