Simple English definitions for legal terms

compos sui

Read a random definition: balanced economy

A quick definition of compos sui:

COMPOS SUI: Compos sui means that a person is the master of their own body. This means they have control over their own movements and can move their body as they wish.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Compos sui (kom-pəs s[y]oo-I) is a Latin term that means "master of one's self." It refers to a person who has control over their own body and movements.

Example: A martial artist who has trained for years to have complete control over their body is an example of someone who is compos sui. They are able to move their limbs with precision and accuracy, and can execute complex techniques with ease.

Explanation: The example illustrates the definition of compos sui because the martial artist has achieved a level of mastery over their body that allows them to move with intention and control. They are not at the mercy of their limbs, but rather have the power to direct them as they see fit. This level of self-mastery is what defines someone as compos sui.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
