Simple English definitions for legal terms

falsing of dooms

Read a random definition: poundage fee

A quick definition of falsing of dooms:

Falsing of dooms is a legal term that means asking a higher court to review and possibly change a decision made by a lower court or agency. It's like asking a teacher to change a grade you think is unfair. Sometimes you need permission to do this, and sometimes you don't. There are different types of appeals, like when you only want to appeal certain parts of a decision or when you want to stop the decision from happening while you appeal. In the past, appeal also meant accusing someone of a crime.

A more thorough explanation:

Falsing of dooms is a legal term that refers to the process of appealing a decision made by a lower court or agency to a higher court for review and possible reversal.

If a person is found guilty of a crime by a lower court, they can file an appeal to a higher court to have the decision reviewed and possibly overturned. This process is known as falsing of dooms.

Another example of falsing of dooms is when a company appeals a decision made by a regulatory agency that they believe is unfair or unjust.

These examples illustrate how falsing of dooms is used to challenge decisions made by lower courts or agencies and seek a higher authority's review.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
