guidage

Read a random definition: rewritten specification

A quick definition of guidage:

Term: GUIDAGE

Definition: Guidage is a word that was used in the past to describe a fee that a traveler would pay to be guided through unfamiliar or dangerous places. It can also refer to the act of guiding someone through these places.

Simply put, guidage means paying someone to help you get to where you need to go safely.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Guidage is a historical term that refers to either a toll or fee charged for guiding a traveler through unfamiliar or dangerous territory, or the act of guiding a traveler through such terrain.

Example 1: In medieval times, travelers would often have to pay a guidage to local guides in order to safely navigate through treacherous mountain passes or dense forests.

Example 2: Today, some tour companies offer guided hikes through remote wilderness areas, providing expert guidance and ensuring the safety of their clients. This is a modern form of guidage.

Both examples illustrate the concept of guidage as a service provided to travelers who need assistance navigating unfamiliar or dangerous terrain. In the past, this service was often provided by local guides who knew the area well and could help travelers avoid hazards. Today, it is often provided by professional tour guides who have specialized knowledge and training in wilderness navigation and safety.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)
