A quick definition of Institute of Museum and Library Services:

The Institute of Museum and Library Services is a special group that helps libraries and museums. It gives money to these places so they can do cool things like have new exhibits or buy new books. The Institute was made by the government in 1996 to help make sure people have access to great places to learn and explore. It is part of a bigger group called the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities, which helps support the arts and humanities in America.

A more thorough explanation:

The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is a federal agency that provides grants to support libraries and museums. It was established in 1996 as part of the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities.

The National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities is a federal foundation that supports progress in the humanities and the arts. It does this by providing funding to the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The foundation was created by Congress in 1965.

Examples of how IMLS supports libraries and museums include:

  • Providing funding for library programs that promote literacy and lifelong learning
  • Supporting museum exhibitions and educational programs that engage diverse audiences
  • Providing resources and training for librarians and museum professionals to improve their skills and knowledge

These examples illustrate how IMLS helps to strengthen and improve libraries and museums across the United States, making them more accessible and valuable to their communities.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.

Indeed. I need a count for how many exectuive orders he has signed and how many already have pending lawsuits.
