A quick definition of jusjurandum:

Jusjurandum is a fancy word that means taking an oath. It's like making a promise and swearing to keep it. There are different types of oaths, like ones you have to take and ones you choose to take. Sometimes, when you sign an important paper, like a legal document, you have to add a jurat, which is a statement saying that you signed it in front of someone and promised to tell the truth. In the past, a group of 12 people called a jurata would act as a jury in court. Overall, jusjurandum is just a fancy way of talking about taking an oath or making a promise.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Jusjurandum is a Latin term that means an oath. It is also known as juramentum, which is a civil law term for an oath. There are different types of juramentum, such as juramentum calumniae, which is an oath of calumny, and juramentum voluntarium, which is a voluntary oath.

  • A witness in court takes an oath to tell the truth, which is a juramentum.
  • A politician takes an oath of office, which is also a juramentum.
  • In some legal cases, a judge may ask a party to take an oath in litem, which is an oath taken during litigation.

These examples illustrate how jusjurandum or juramentum is used in different contexts to refer to an oath or affirmation made by an individual. It is a solemn promise to tell the truth or fulfill a duty, often made in a legal or official setting.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)
