A quick definition of tabular form:

Tabular form is a way of writing things down in a neat and organized way. It uses indented paragraphs for each item on a list, making it easy to read and understand. This style is often used in legal documents, like patent claims. It is also known as subparagraph form.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Tabular form is a style of legal drafting that uses an indented subparagraph for each enumerated item. It is commonly used in drafting patent claims. This style is also known as subparagraph form.

Example: A patent claim written in tabular form might look like this:

1.A device comprising:
2.A first component;
3.A second component;
4.A third component.

This example shows how each enumerated item is indented and separated by a semicolon. This makes it easier to read and understand the different components of the device being claimed in the patent.

Explanation: Tabular form is a way of organizing information in legal drafting that makes it easier to read and understand. By using indented subparagraphs for each enumerated item, the reader can quickly see the different components being claimed in a patent or other legal document. This style is particularly useful for complex documents with many different parts or components.
