Kent will renegotiate but seemingly only over amounts for better-ranked schools
Also it's May. How do I still not have a decision from Loyola? I will have started at Kent by the time I hear back.
is it worth asking for more $
If you're above the median then ask.
Who's going to Loyola?
Unfortunately, Loyola does not do scholarship negotiations. Kent does!
I am attending!

anyone see any waitlist movement?
16:45
loyola or kent?
17:03
I applied in late dec and still haven’t heard from them. Not even waitlisted … it is May…. Not sure when I will hear back..!
Wave? Feb applicant, just heard back
@LFC2024: whoever gives you more money both are great schools!
18:56
wave.
my status tracker shot up yesterday do you guys think i will hear back soon
@StraightTellingSeal: probably yes
I applied in february. Any ideas when I will hear anything back?
11:06
I think it also depends on your stats, I've been checking LSD results and found that even if you applied later than others (in Feb, march), if your stat is 162+ with pretty decent GPA, people hear back earlier than others who applied in dec/jan with a bit lower stat..... (me.. sigh sigh)
I applied three months ago should I email?
deposits are coming up for other schools, would hate to waste money
you could send a LOCI
has anyone called loyola and asked if they are likely to admit from the waitlist?
the second seat deposit passed yesterday so I’d assume WL movement if any would happen at the end of the month-July.
did anyone else get a feeler email just now?
07.09: just got a "July WL check-in"
are religious schools like actually religious?
just got a call that i got in off the waitlist - but have to decide by thursday because orientation starts the 14th
16:06
congrats! @eighteenfries I got in off the waitlist as well on 7/31 and I am attending! Lots of papers, work , and first assignment/reading to do now.. Hope you join loyola too! btw I am in weekend JD
@TexasGirl123: I attend Loyola (not Christian) and I feel like even though a lot of classmates and professors seem religious, they are not "conservative" religious. The school is incredibly left leaning and accepting and no one will shove their beliefs down your throat.
Basically the vibe I get from the community is "feed the poor" religious people not "you're going to hell" religious people
If you are not Christian like me or not religious you will still feel welcomed. Just be respectful of other people's beliefs and be aware that the school openly embraces a Jesuit culture which does not try to alienate students who don't follow that faith.
