Tell us what's important to you
I remember something changed on my BYU Law page right before getting rejected so idk.

@AbrasiveTiresomeReindeer: Do you have a "second email" in your portal now?
@InstinctiveCaringUrchin: Yes! But it is blank after that. It just says: "2nd Email: "
InstinctiveCaringUrchin
18:00
Very strange. When I received an ID, they also gave me a 2nd email in that blank. Whatever they're doing seems out of the norm
It's possible it was there and disappeared with my personal ID

Welp hold out hope then! I think it's a good sign that you weren't in the wave of R/W that just went out
It's just making me really angry because I applied on Halloween and I can see others who submitted over a month after me get their decsions. I thought my 167 LSAT would carry me but there seems to be a glut of 170+ scorers here
InstinctiveCaringUrchin
18:08
I completely understand. The good news is that the 170+ scorers can only accept at one school. Meaning more slots have to open up as students withdraw their applications
True. I'm just kicking myself for only taking the LSAT once. I only had one chance with LG and I wish I started this whole process earlier.
I honestly think 6 month and multiple tries with LG would have boosted me into the 170+ range, but what can ya do?

167 is still a great score, and above where their projected median is going to land. Is Utah your first choice?
BYU was my first choice and is my undergrad, but they rejected me to my suprise. Utah is my second choice and I will go there if admitted

It may help with networking in some strange way to be affiliated with both top universities in the state. Hoping the best for you!
Thank you! And my work is in Salt Lake anyways so if it works out, I'll be happy to go there. Besides, while I liked BYU all things considered, Provo the town has some downsides... very overpriced and overcrowded.
InstinctiveCaringUrchin
18:21
Nice people, but it's a little foreign if you aren't LDS. Salt Lake is a fun city though. Big enough to have things to do, small enough that it still feels communityish
I am LDS and did the whole mission thing, but not really active anymore despite being a BYU senior. I will love having Brighton and Park City be much closer to me if the U is where I end up
InstinctiveCaringUrchin
18:33
That seems to be fairly common that people serve their mission and then dip

Happy Valentines day everyone. Hopefully you all get acceptances over the long weekend
I also came home right when COVID started so that definitely contributed. I was just burned tf out from 2 years of door knocking BS and then isolation in Cali. My old Mission President has a medium sized firm in downtown Salt Lake so I am hopeful he can hook me up, He and I are still relatively tight and he wrote on of my LoRs
Hoping to hear something today
Same! Anyone know if they are closed for Presidents’ Day?
Shiiiitttt I didn’t even think about that
Seems like they've been doing A waves exclusively on Fridays but who knows
Damn, well hopefully us missing the great R/WL purge from last week is a good sign for both of us!
It doesn't help when people who update their status here don't double check the date they list the decision... lol
We gotta hear something tomorrow right?
i hop
hope
Good luck today everyone
Hoping for the best
