Third time applicant. Get work experience!!
Originally felt weird making my stats public and sharing it, but I honestly feel like it’s better to have good karma and give people the same resources I’ve been using. Mental health issues in undergrad, super splitter, just hoping for the best!
Applied through the Junior Deferral Program (JDP) because of the rising LSAT / GPA medians and a commitment to a two-year post-grad program.
Don’t spend every second of you day on LSD or reddit, I regret making this mistake. Decisions will come when they come, and literally nothing you can do to change that.
Take the money. Apply early. Be intentional prepping for the lsat. Learn how to type faster for exams. Work on your mental health before the first semester.

LSAT 163 GPA 3.45 2020–21 cycle
Ivy Undergrad, STEM, Ivy Master’s degree but no FT work experience (went straight to master’s from UG) I applied late, thought I could raise my LSAT by taking the January test but wasn’t able to increase my score. Really regret applying late.
Veterans whose home of record is TEXAS qualify for a tuition exemption called the “Hazlewood Act.” It exempts the full cost of tuition to any graduate program in the state (including law school) https://www.tvc.texas.gov/education/hazlewood/
Start writing early. I did a Why X essay for almost every school. Did not do a diversity essay, but completed other optional prompts. I had very strong, program specific reasons for UVA and UChicago that I didn’t really have at the other schools
no explicit why law in my ps(you better write one) Wrote why Duke/Cornell/GULC/Columbia/Penn(core value) No surprise from Mich, UVA, and UChicago. They do not like international students 😭 international students!!!!!!!!!! Work on your soft!
Shoot your shot! Don’t let places like reddit tell you your LSAT/GPA are everything. Of course you need to fit the school, but your softs can really push you over the edge. Being a well-rounded applicant is a much bigger plus than people think.

You just need one school to let you in! Also, for context I did apply with my wife (4.09/164) and that definitely helped me get in with my lower GPA.
Minor inaccuracies both accidentally and on purpose. I applied to most schools Oct-Nov and heard back from most of my As December-January. Interview invites were pretty fast, usually under a month. U.S. top undergrad, graduated before pandemic

LSA is booty. If you’re upset with your cycle and know you want to be a lawyer, then go live life. Travel, have some fun. Move to that cool place you’ve always wanted to live. You’re valid for your feelings, but find a school that values YOU.
