…UCLA and USC. It didn’t help at all - getting off the waitlist is ridiculously hard. Takeaways: Don’t take too many risks in your PS like I did. Play it safe unless you absolutely have to. I regret writing about my PS topic - I received a lot of commendation and praise for my writing, but I don’t think it went well…

Admitted to Cornell UniversityWrite the optional essays, eat well, don’t stress. Things will work out. Don’t apply during a pandemic. The waitlists are pain. Also, don’t be stupid like me and wait two years after taking the LSAT to apply. I got burned by the COVID LSAT median jumps with my pre-COVID score.
Waitlists are real! I assumed they were glorified rejections and I was completely wrong. Treat them all seriously and continue to put your best self out there!
First, I’m applying the 24-25 cycle with a GRE only. Assuming I get off of 0 waitlists (as I write this, I have at least 6), it would probably be time to retake and reapply with an actual LSAT. Don’t use Blueprint unless your diagnostic is already 160+. I’m going to use LSAT Demon to try assuming I don’t get one…
…I didn’t get into Michigan as a Flint kid. Wild that I was waitlisted at Columbia with a 3.14 GPA. Northwestern is pretty cool, highly recommend.
Accepted all waitlists but put minimal effort in besides SLS who hasn’t taken anyone off as of now
…within a few days. Interviewed at Harvard off the waitlist and was rejected a couple weeks later. Although my optionals and my personal statement were well written, I am not sure if my application had a cohesive “Why Law” narrative. My application may have also benefitted from a year or two of work experience.

…LOCIs to Penn, Michigan, or Chicago. I completed the NYU waitlist Kira on 5/17 and sent them a second LOCI on 6/2. I also sent a second LOCI to Columbia on 5/22.- I just want to put on the record that I thought I totally blew it during my NYU wait list Kira by calling their Public Interest Law Center by the wrong…
Wrote optional essays for Michigan, Penn, and Stanford (ironically, the schools I didn’t get into lol). I did not write any LOCIs and was rejected from all my waitlists. PS was on my personal growth through taking on a hobby-related challenge. I brought in my legal work experience at the end, but probably could have…
…and you didn’t write the optional essay, you will get waitlisted. At the highest-ranked schools that I was accepted to (Vandy/Northwestern/Cornell), I went the extra mile, attended webinars, and did the optional interviews/essays. For the schools that I felt like I didn’t put my all into the applications (NYU/UCLA),…
…for the UCI Law PSS. Fairly disappointed that I was waitlisted as I am still VERY interested even though they are a “safety” school. Would 100% attend if admitted for personal reasons, (esp. on the additional PSS), ZOT ZOT ZOT! Pepp Notes | Safety school that I did not submit optional essays for. Would consider…

For some reason I can’t change the info for Columbia, but I was put on reserve (basically waitlisted) at Columbia on 2/15/22
…so I felt adding a why X again was unnecessary. I was waitlisted at Penn, CLS, and GULC in the 20-21 cycle, & rejected at NYU. CLS: new PS, new DS, slightly updated resume, nothing spectacular to add.- UChi: wrote Why UChi. I think this fit really well with the school in terms of their whole focus, idk I think an…
Wrote “Why X” for Chicago, Penn (core values), Michigan, Berkeley, UVA, NDLS. Included minor “Why X” in Columbia PS. End of cycle! Will stay on all waitlists except WashU but most likely attending either NYU, UVA, or Michigan.
