LSAT 165 GPA 3.60 2025–26 cycle

Attending Duquesne University

Apply wide. Really wide. Embarrassingly wide. Then let the dust settle and make the smartest boring decision available. Prestige is a fine thing until you’re paying for it with money you don’t have chasing outcomes that aren’t guaranteed. The humble path taken confidently beats the prestigious path taken anxiously…

LSAT 158 GPA 3.33 2021–22 cycle

End of Cycle Recap Chose where I wanted to apply based on location, alumni network, and job placement. . . . in that order- Tried to find schools where I was at or slightly below one or both medians to apply to Visited UofSC twice before deciding to commit there and not R&R I used 7Sage for the LSAT and while I did…

LSAT 168 GPA 3.48 2021–22 cycle

Admitted to Loyola University—Chicago

Applied to numerous top 14 schools for the 2020-2021 cycle, and received all R’s aside from Georgetown, who placed me on their preferred waitlist. However, I wasn’t ready to make the financial commitment of relocating from Chicago to Washington, D.C. and removed myself from consideration. This cycle, I decided to…

LSAT 152 GPA 3.91 2020–21 cycle

Attending University of Maryland

Take the LSAT early even if you feel like you’re not fully ready in August or October. Don’t take your first attempt in January like I did. As you can see, a low score clearly makes things harder even when the rest of your app (GPA, resume, letters) is strong like mine was. I doubt I would’ve even gotten waitlist…

LSAT 169 GPA 3.51 2024–25 cycle

Attending University of Florida (Levin)

Trans/nonbinary student, background in activism and nonprofits. Did really strongly in the first half of college, did somewhat poorly in the second half—ultimately won a couple of awards though. Took a year to heal (lol) and become more of a functioning adult. Strongly recommend taking a year+ if you feel the…

LSAT 172 GPA 3.63 2020–21 cycle

Attending Illinois Institute of Technology (Kent)

I am laser-focused on working in nonprofit legal aid (hopefully within a community and/or movement lawyering context) in Chicago. This is why I am choosing Kent over my higher-ranked acceptances (full ride, and allows me to stay active in the Chicago community organizing & activist spaces in which I already…

LSAT 163 GPA 3.70 2025–26 cycle

Attending Illinois Institute of Technology (Kent)

Never let anyone talk you into a boring, generic, “safe” personal statement. Sometimes our lives are “controversial”, and your ability to tell that story conveys competence and resilience. At least, I think that’s why I got quick movement A’s.

LSAT 162 GPA 3.64 2024–25 cycle

Attending University of Illinois—Urbana Champaign

I think I underestimated how much scores really matter. But if you’re waitlisted, I would just continue following up with the school, go visit, and attend as many admission zooms as possible to show interest. That’s what worked for me. Good luck! This process is a doozie.

LSAT 160 GPA 4.00 2022–23 cycle

Attending University of Illinois—Urbana Champaign

This whole system is a scam designed for the 1% to win every time (and get richer in the process), but here we all are buying into it; spending ≥1 year of our lives, our energy, and stressing out so that we can play the game too.

LSAT 164 GPA 3.60 2022–23 cycle

Admitted to Loyola University—Chicago

Union organizer, Master’s in Special Education, Americorps alum, LGBTQ+/ASD/ADHD 20-21 cycle: LSAT low due to undiagnosed disabilities; ran with the low score because teaching HS during the pandemic has me burnt out

LSAT 175 GPA 2.94 2023–24 cycle

Admitted to Washington University in St. Louis

Keep taking the LSAT. And take it in-person. I went 162 -> 168 -> 167 -> 168 -> 175. The last one was the only one I didn’t take at home or in a stupid hotel. Remote test-taking sucks. Go to the testing place.

LSAT 162 GPA 3.60 2021–22 cycle

Attending Loyola University—Chicago

Waitlisted at these schools last cycle with the same stats: BC WashU Emory I withdrew from all three in May 2021 and decided to re-apply the next cycle since I committed to my job for another year
