…I submitted a LOCI each month and completed the interview. I received a feeler email on 7/28, I responded to it and then received a feeler call that same day. Received offer of admission on 7/29. UVA - I went UR2 end of Sept, read that you could send in a LOCI if you hadn’t heard back from them in months so I sent…

Admitted to Duke University…Yale, and Berkeley. I was waitlisted at all 3. My Yale interview was not ideal (asked some tough questions that I felt were really missing the point and focusing on ancient history) but that’s life! On the other hand, my Chicago interview was awesome and I was still WL both placed. I wrote a LOCI for Chicago really…

…is an awesome way to make students feel wanted. I interviewed with Dean Andy in a group-style Zoom meeting. The questions were simple and light-hearted, and everyone I know from the group got an offer of admission. The scholarship was very generous too, easily outnumbering my offers from every other T14 school, even…

…62 days after I sent my application. I received my KIRA interview invite in early December, and honestly felt I bombed the first question and then performed quite mediocrely for the next two. Nevertheless, while at track & field practice on a Monday, Dean Le left me a voicemail letting me know I had been admitted.…
…this to help much, but it kept getting referenced in my interviews and was always a good response for the “leadership” question Wrote all the optionals/supplementals Framed “Why” essays by doing one paragraph about why the school is a good personal fit, another about why academically. …don’t take it personally. It’s far easier to answer an interview question or write an essay if you actually believe what you’re saying. If you can’t muster any sincerity, take that as a sign to carefully consider your course of action. Be consistently polite and friendly when communicating with adcoms. This goes…
Wrote every optional essay possible and a Why X to avoid YP outside the T6. Did not write any DS. If you get an HLS interview, make sure you’re really jazzed and emphasize that it’s your first choice. That’s what I think got me WL’ed, since my interview otherwise went really well.
Wrote all optional essays including Why X for Berkeley, Duke, and UVA. I did not include a Kira interview for Northwestern. Didn’t interview with & didn’t personalize PS for Columbia.
…one was personal and decently researched.
