I have two undergraduate degrees from a small, low(and I REALLY mean low)-ranked state school. I worked 3 jobs during, and did an internship abroad in a country that is not stereotypical for my current field. I have some very unique work experience in a highly nationally ranked (purposefully vague here) institution.…

Admitted to Pepperdine University-Currently in the military. -Went pretty broad, service waivers helped keep the cost down. -Jumped early on the ASU CAS waiver, submitted a meh app. After that, just went up the list rankings wise sending out apps. Had a couple of app typos relating to date mismatches between the apps and my transcripts in some of…
What I need to hear and probably what you need to hear too: Feeling disappointment and regret is inevitable. It’s what makes us strive to be better. What you decide to do afterwards matters so much more than the fleeting moment of frustration, disappointment, sadness, anger, etc. One chance/opportunity is all you…
LSAT 169 GPA 3.80 2025–26 cycle
Admitted to Pepperdine University
Never settle for less than what you believe you can get, especially with the LSAT. If you believe you can get a higher score, then go for it.
It’s important to gain as much knowledge as you can from mentors, peers, admissions, etc. so you can make well-informed decisions during this process. But at the end of the day, you know yourself best. My authenticity as an applicant was muddled by too much noise from well-meaning mentors and guides. If I had been…
My process + timeline: I took a diagnostic test in Nov 2019 and scored 146. I started studying six days a week, for one to four hours a day, from January to August. I used khan academy, Mike Kim’s “The LSAT Trainer”, Ellen Kassidy’s “The Loophole “, the Powerscore Bibles, and 7 Sage. I took the August test and…
I know it’s like ??? as to why I picked Belmont, considering how my stats are wayyyy higher than their medians and I got into better schools who offered me a lot of money, but here’s why. Vanderbilt is still my dream school, and if I do super well my first year, maybe I could transfer there bc it’s literally right…
Go back in time and take undergrad seriously…
Give yourself WAY more time than you think you need to study for the LSAT. I’d recommend giving yourself no less than 1 year to study. You may be very smart, but you just don’t know whether the test will feel intuitive to you, whether you will plateau, whether you will burn out, etc. And DO NOT TAKE THE OFFICIAL…
Consider retaking the LSAT and reapplying next cycle if you’re not happy with your results this time around. That’s what I did, and it’s worked out splendidly. :)
Apply to UCLA Law Fellows, UC Davis’ KHOP, and UCI Outreach Program California peeps!!! Also sign up for the candidate referral service to get application waivers, try to save money wherever you can! Be true to yourself and be transparent about your career goals! While there isn’t a set undergraduate degree that…

queer woman closer to 5 years of WE than 9. work was in political campaigns (local to national and everything in between) wrote a gpa and lsat addendum (retook the lsat for waitlists and got a 166 - likely not enough to move any needles) only wrote a LOCI for fordham bc i committed to dozo, signed a lease, and…
My advice: blanket the t-14 and the t-20 pretty broadly! I felt that applying to HYS, UPenn, UChicago would have been a waste when I was applying (and the thought of more apps and more $ sounded stressful) but now I realize that I should have done it anyways, just to shoot my shot! The Duke WL was a nice suprise.…
unconventional PS discussing character and fitness issue as reason for wanting to become a lawyer. my advice? besides high lsat and a good gpa, take risks with your application. be memorable, have a genuine reason for wanting to go to ls and communicate that passionately and clearly. i think my ps got me into places…
