Admitted to University of Texas at Austin…optional) Cornell LOCI that I sent ~2 weeks before I was waitlisted **Interviews ** GULC group- UT Kira Advice For Future Applicants Don’t take the LSAT until you’re PT’ing at your target score.- Don’t be afraid to retake 16highs-17lows. Every point matters. I’m about 90% sure I wouldn’t have gotten into UT if I had…
…and you didn’t write the optional essay, you will get waitlisted. At the highest-ranked schools that I was accepted to (Vandy/Northwestern/Cornell), I went the extra mile, attended webinars, and did the optional interviews/essays. For the schools that I felt like I didn’t put my all into the applications (NYU/UCLA),…
For some reason I can’t change the info for Columbia, but I was put on reserve (basically waitlisted) at Columbia on 2/15/22
I’m the waitlist bitch sunglasses emoji Also don’t worry GW was yield protect.
After taking the LSAT in January 2021, I applied to Minnesota on March 1st, 2021 (the only school I applied to during the 2020-21 cycle), and was waitlisted in early May. I knew it was probably because I had applied so late in the cycle, but it was still devastating and caused me to doubt my ability to get into law…

Shoot your shot! Application cycles can be unpredictable. Even if you end up at one of your top choices, it can still be a bumpy ride (looking at you, 5 waitlists). At the end of the day, I was lucky enough to get into my top two choices: Chicago and Virginia. Even with the gulf in cost of attendance, it was a…
…from your preferred school. Advice #5: Be proactive about waitlists. Send letters of continued interest, go to online seminars, maybe even call the admissions office if you’re comfortable enough. Otherwise, you’re likely to get passed over by those who do go the extra mile. If nothing else, you know you really gave…
…back to you in months, does not guarantee a rejection or waitlist. Keep your head up and stay the course. *My last–and possibly most important–piece of advice is to KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR OWN PRIZE. Good luck!
…is to apply broadly; I was accepted below median at UT and waitlisted at median at Notre Dame. All it takes is one school.
Not sure how valid my advice is (see waitlists below), but here goes: Take the LSAT when you’re ready. Take your time with the essays. Don’t stress too much. It’d be nice to get into every school, but you only need to get accepted once to be a lawyer!
…I’m beyond grateful to have each of my acceptance and waitlist decisions, and I will continue to update my profile with further decisions and scholarship offers as the cycle continues. Feel free to reach out!
…a decision by 2/1.I just need closure at this point lol. Waitlisted on 1/31 around 4:15pm! Withdrew my application on 2/15/24. **KU: **Went complete on 9/26 and radio silence for a while…
…Don’t leave anything to chance either. I got off the waitlist by being persistent. Multiple LOCIS, calling the admissions office frequently to check in, and sending in another LOR. That said, I also got a little lucky and blessed by God;) You odds of luck increase with persistence though. So be persistent!…
…the school i will be committing to. i didn’t remain on any waitlists. best advice is to NOT apply to as many safety schools as me; it was a waste of time and money and provided no scholarship leverage. good luck to everybody!
