Admitted to Saint Louis UniversityHad awful GPA in teens/20s. Took a decade off from school. Came back with a bunch of work experience and ran off a 4.0 to end my college career despite maintaining a full time job with kids.
Apply everywhere you want to go. The worst that could happen is they say no. Even if you receive a rejection, that is not an indicator of your worth or how successful you could be one day.
I submitted my application to SMU by the early decision deadline of November 15th. I heard back on November 19th that my application was rolled over to regular admissions.

Honestly, I didn’t write a Why X or any extra statements for any institution. You probably should though.
Apply early if you can, but also just apply! Just do it! You never know the answer unless you try!
